I do not believe in lifelong/longterm therapy. I will provide you with psychoeducation to help you better understand and normalize your experiencing. I will also teach you tools that you can utilize outside of our sessions so you feel you have more choice and ownership in your day to day life.

Parents & Female Adolescence
I have received extensive training working with family systems and female adolescence through inpatient care at New Haven Residential Treatment Center and outpatient care at the UCLA Veteran Family Wellness Center. I specialize working with female identifying adolescence diagnosed with high functioning autism, those exploring their sexuality and/or gender identity, highly sensitive individuals who tend be extremely creative, and "high achievers" who experience high levels of anxiety & depression, stress and burnout as a result.
My favorite adolescence are those who have been given the label of "selfish", "defiant", "disrespectful" or "impossible." I connect with them on their level, focus on attunement and adjust course accordingly.
My approach is based on the research of Family Systems and Attachment Theories.

Active Military, Veterans & Their Loved Ones
I have received extensive training at UCLA as a certified FOCUS Resilience Couples Trainer & Therapist to help couples and families develop tools to improve communication, problem solving, emotion regulation, and conflict resolution.
I have also spent several years working as a Mental Health Professional for Higher Ground USA, a non-profit organization that provides seven-day experiences utilizing Recreational Therapy to promote the healing and growth of Veterans and their loved ones. Qualifying Veterans experience symptoms of Post-traumatic Stress (PTS), Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI), Military Sexual Trauma (MST), and/or Posttraumatic Growth (PTG) .
My approach is very direct and informed by several years of studying and presenting on military culture and Veterans' transition back to Civilian life.
A professional athlete myself, I have spent the majority of my life training off and on the ice for figure skating. I started at the age of 4, went pro at the age of 20, and have been coaching skating for over 15 years. I understand firsthand the pressure, responsibility, discipline, sacrifice, and ultimate dedication it takes to be a high performing athlete. I have worked with hundreds of athletes from all over the world, many of which have been NFL players struggling with identity and their sense of purpose and belonging shortly after their athletic career ended.
When working with professional athletes, I pull from both personal professional athletic and clinical training.
